Basiswissen Requirements Engineering

Aus- und Weiterbildung zum Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering - Foundation Level nach IREB-Standard

Description

This book is the ideal means to prepare for the “Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering” of the IREB.

In 2007, the “International Requirements Engineering Board” (IREB) was founded. Its members are independent experts from the industrial, research and consulting sectors. Jointly, they have delineated a syllabus and created the “Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering” certification.

The goal of this program is to standardize vocational training for requirements engineers and subsequently foster requirements engineering on a large scale.

The professional application of the tools and methods which make up requirements engineering helps prevent risks and errors during the analysis phase. The discipline demarcates a systematic approach to software development beginning with the first hazy goals all the way through to a comprehensive set of requirements. Furthermore, quality criteria which every single requirement and the specification as a whole must meet are defined.

This textbook – the only one of its kind – was written by the coauthors of the IREB syllabus Chris Rupp and Dr. Klaus Pohl with further supported granted by other IREB-members. It is designed to detail and illustrate all the topics covered in the syllabus version 2.0.

This book enables you to autonomously prepare for the certification exams, but it may also be used as a supplement to training courses offered by certified providers.

The book encompasses all relevant topics which make up requirements engineering:

  • Elicitation of
  • Testing
  • Documenting
  • and managing requirements

The changes implemented with the 2.0 version of the syllabus have all been accounted for.

It will enable you to perfectly prepare for the certification, to make sure you’ll soon be a certified requirements engineer.

The “Foundation Level” certificate attests that the bearer is familiar with the terminology used in requirements engineering and management, and is able to apply the basic methods which make up requirements engineering.
