The IREB has pledged to professionalize the field of requirements engineering and to establish international standards. Thus, a curriculum and certification questions have been compiled and published, enabling interested parties to acquire an internationally recognized certificate. Preparing for the examination

SOPHIST Trainings

For a compact but thorough preparation for the examination we offer a 3-day Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering training. You’ll learn everything you need to know for the examination.
If you’ve already gathered extensive knowledge concerning requirements engineering, then you should have a look at our CPRE – Sparring Day. This course doesn’t focus on the theoretical knowledge, but is all about refreshing those facts and figures vaguely remembered and reviewing exam questions.

Literature

To prepare for the CPRE examination we recommend the book “Basiswissen Requirements Engineering” by Chris Rupp and Klaus Pohl. This book was specifically designed to help applicants prepare for the examination. You’ll find everything you need to know to pass the exam in here.

Taking the Exam

If you take part in one of our CPRE trainings, you’ll get the chance to take the examination right after the training finishes. We’ll be scheduling the examination thusly. Of course, you may also take the exam during one of the test dates scheduled by the certification centers and pay the fees directly there. The official examination schedules may be found on the websites of the certifying bodies. In Germany, that would be the iSQI GmbH, in Switzerland SAQ, in Austria future network and in Malaysia MSTB.
